Don Bosco Technical Institute, Ashaiman is a non- profit making Christian Institution, established to serve the young people according to the rules of the Catholic Church and the spirit of St. John Bosco. It is managed by Salesians of Don Bosco according to an agreement with the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra. The centre provides employment-linked, market-oriented vocational training of short duration to the economically and socially marginalized youth.
A social initiative by the Salesians of Don Bosco, it addresses the issues of unemployment and lack of skilled manpower with a market-based approach that is sensitive to the socio-economic needs of marginalized youth.
The aims/objectives of the institution is to provide the youth in Ghana and beyond with religious and moral formation, together with a solid technical training in various sectors, so as to enable them to enter job market as skilled technicians or to be employed/self- employed with the aim of making them self-reliant. The training consists of hands on training and other employable skills that are required to be employed/self- employed.
Don Bosco in Partership with German Government started BINA programme to provide hands on training to deprived youth towards employment.
Our Motto
Our students' motto 'Learn a Trade, Earn a Living', the institute intends to mainstream the youth into the formal organized job market through market driven skill development interventions. The course modules are designed carefully with industry inputs to keep in tune with changing demands of the market. Don Bosco Tech opens new horizons of opportunity for the young people of Ghana.
